Saídas profissionais
Os diplomados em Educação Física e Desporto poderão exercer as seguintes funções em ginásios e academias, clubes desportivos, federações desportivas, laboratórios de rendimento, autarquias e outras organizações desportivas:
- Exercício e Saúde: Técnico de Exercício Físico e Diretor Técnico de Instalações Desportivas;
- Treino Desportivo: Título profissional de treinador de desporto numa modalidade reconhecida pelo IPDJ — Instituto Português do Desporto e Juventude;
- Gestão do Desporto: Gestor em organizações desportivas nos vários setores de prática desportiva, intervindo nas políticas públicas e/ou privadas a nível local, regional ou nacional;
- Desporto de Aventura e da Natureza: Técnico de desporto outdoor, especialista na manipulação de equipamento de aventura e da natureza tendo em conta as normas de segurança em atividades com objetivos de animação, recreação e lazer.
O curso dá ainda acesso ao 2.º ciclo de estudos em Ensino da Educação Física nos Ensinos Básico e Secundário, o qual lhes conferirá a habilitação profissional para a docência nas áreas e níveis de ensino respetivos.
Estatuto profissional
A qualificação dá acesso às profissões de Técnico de Exercício Físico e de Diretor Técnico de instalações desportivas.
Formação de Treinador/a de Desporto
A licenciatura em Educação Física e Desporto é reconhecida pelo IPDJ para fim de equivalência às componentes de Treinador de Desporto nas áreas de:
Natação:
- Grau I e Grau II na Componente de Formação Geral;
- Grau I na Componente de Formação Específica na Modalidade de Natação;
- Grau I na Componente de Estágio na Modalidade de Natação.
Patinagem:
- Grau I e Grau II na Componente de Formação Geral
